Walking along the University Avenue, with friends from Walking for Fitness class, and I chanced upon this view of the moon. Such a beautiful thing to behold, so close, yet so far away. The trees reach out from the ground, but we can only go so far. Maybe somehow, someday, I can fly myself to moon, play among the stars, and be with one of the most beautiful creations in our time.

Cherry Blossoms in the Plaza

A fusion of Japanese and Italian Cuisine, the Sakura Nella Piazza is presented by the 3rd year Hotel, Restaurant and Institute Management students of the College of Home Economics in the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

The photo presentation shows the preparation for and the duration of the event. This event is the last requirement for the 3rd year students in the first semester of academic year 2009 to 2010. It was held in the NIML in CHE last October 17, 2009.

I would like to acknowledge Ms. C.Kate Evangelista for helping me out with this shoot.

Handugan

This is an event in the College of Home Economics entitled 'Handugan: Pagpupugat at Pasasalamat kay Bathala'. The music that I used is 'Muli' by Bamboo. This event is part of a subject of BS Hotel and Restaurant Institute Management course in the University of the Philippines. The kitchen staff as well as the servers are all students and they are overseen by their professor.

A member of UP Optics, Kris, invited me to cover their event. Here's the resulting video of the said photo-coverage. I hope you enjoy it!

Guide My Way

I took this one last September 27, 2009, late in the evening, with my trusty Sony Ericsson K550i. It was the aftermath of the typhoon 'Ondoy' which claimed the lives of many Filipinos and damaged billions of pesos worth of property and is one of the most devastating typhoons in the history of the country.

The candlelight, no matter how small it is, provides a shelter from the darkness. It serves a beacon and a guide to those who are lost in the darkness. It shows that no matter how dark and dreary the world maybe, there is hope for us all.

Memorial

This is the 66m tall tower in Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City. Taken around late in the afternoon, this was after a visit to the base of the said tower which houses the Quezon Memorial Museum. I went there for a museum research for my subject in Art Studies 195 (Curatorship) under Ma'am Bootes who was the curator of Vargas Museum in UP Diliman. This photo was taken way back in 2008.

An Electronic Power-saving Lamp being used by Mushroom Burger in Tagaytay. I took this photo during our Art Studies 141 (Photography as an Art) field trip to Batangas. It was raining very hard so we can't really go outside to shoot. Therefore, I decided to look around the store to shoot something interesting. And voila, here it is.
